For the iPod you need an Audi Music Interface (AMI) which only works with a CAN gateway as installed in newer A3 and TT. Nobody has yet reported to have the 2010 RNS-E with AMI successfully retrofit in a B6/B7/C5. For older A3/TT the CAn gateway may need to be upgraded to support the coding for the AMI which may require some other components to be upgarded as well. The reason why I want the 2010 nav unit over an 09 unit is for the new 2010 ipod features. Is it true that a 2009 nav doesnt show playlists, track names, as well as NOT charging your ipod/iphone when it's plugged in and in use. I've tried to read up as much as I can on these forums but I can't find a definitive answer....
